Linsey Hammon
FOUNDER/PRESIDENT
Linsey Hammon is the founder and president of Called to Courage. She has a deep love for Jesus and the body of Christ, and was called to this work after her family experienced harm and abuse in the church they called home for more than fourteen years. You can hear more of their story in the opening episodes of the Called to Courage podcast.
Professionally, Linsey has served as a Certified Child Life Specialist and Child and Adolescent Grief Counselor for over 25 years. Her expertise in trauma and grief has uniquely equipped her to walk alongside those who are hurting and vulnerable, particularly as they navigate the often-invisible abuses that can occur within the church.
Linsey and her husband, Tom, have two remarkable young adult daughters and a son-in-law they cherish deeply. They make their home in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, where Linsey maintains a private counseling practice and Tom works as a Realtor®.

Tyson Heaton
DIRECTOR
Tyson Heaton has spent his career walking alongside people in seasons of challenge and growth. From serving as a student minister and resident chaplain to his current work as a Certified Child Life Specialist, he has learned the power of listening to people’s stories, being present in their pain, and gently pointing them to Jesus. His calling has been shaped by his education, including a B.S. in Bible from Dallas Christian College and a Master of Divinity from Baylor’s Truett Seminary. He is honored to join in the mission of Called to Courage to embolden the broken, empower the voiceless, expose the lies, and exalt the truth.
At home, Tyson is kept grounded by his amazing wife, and together they are blessed with two energetic, curly-haired daughters who fill their lives with joy and laughter.
